Message just because I don't OWN a TTZ... doesn't mean I've never driven one... for your info... I've been driving Z32s since they cane out in 90... both NAs ans TTs... so I'm well aware of what a TTZ is capable of.

I wanted a nice open top car for well under $20K... and I bought what I bought.

That said...

I can't get over how yourself and many others are talking performance specs on this car when to the best of my knowledge... the most critical information has yet to be released... namely... exact power (current info says 280+) exact weight... rear end gearing... etc.)

The 350Z will have no turbo lag... and should have better torque numbers due to the 16 or so % increase in displacment.

Oh... and one other point... as I recall... Road & Track numbers had always listed the TTZs 0-60 at 6 seconds. So just because that's what their test says... doesn't make it true. This will be the same for the 350Z as well I'm sure.

As for you assertions of exotic status... give me a break. I see probably 10 Zs a day on the way to and from work... and during their heyday... they were common then as well.

Anything produced in multiple 5 figure numbers in a year's time = common production car.

Sorry.

It's a nice car... but stop kidding yourself. It's not exotic... it's stock performance numbers are no longer spectacular... it's a 13 year old design that has held up much better than most... but like all things... it WILL be surpassed by newer fresher ideas.
